The Heresies of CS Lewis

C.S. Lewis Was No Christian!

by David J. Stewart

Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was born in Belfast, Ireland, the younger of two sons. He was educated at Malvern College for a year and then privately. In 1931, after being an atheist since age 15, Lewis claimed to have been converted to Christianity.

It is clear from Lewis’ own words that he was not a born-again Christian. Lewis plainly taught that water baptism and sacraments were a means to finding, what he termed as, the “Christ-life” (Mere Christianity, pp.62,63). New Agers and ecumenical compromisers love C.S. Lewis, because his philosophies attempt to yoke Christian beliefs with pagan religion.

According to Lewis’ own words, he was: “A very ordinary layman of The Church of England.” The Church of England is apostate! C.S. Lewis authored over 60 books which included poems, novels, children’s books, science fiction, theology, literary criticisms, educational philosophy, and an autobiography. Mr. Lewis was a dangerous man, and his writings ought to be burned. Mr. Lewis was certainly no Christian. He may have had churchianity; but he didn’t have Christianity.

In the June 1998 issue of Christianity Today, Millet, dean of Brigham Young University, is quoted as saying that C.S. Lewis “is so well received by Latter-day Saints [Mormons] because of his broad and inclusive vision of Christianity” (John W. Kennedy, “Southern Baptists Take Up the Mormon Challenge,”Christianity Today, 6/15/98, page 30).

In an excellent article by Mike Duran titled, “How ‘Christian’ was C.S. Lewis… and Why is He an Evangelical Hero?,” he writes…

Christianity Today columnist Bob Smietana, in an article entitled, C.S. Lewis Superstar, sums up the essence of the “Lewis resistance” :

Clive Staples Lewis was anything but a classic evangelical, socially or theologically. He smoked cigarettes and a pipe, and he regularly visited pubs to drink beer with friends. Though he shared basic Christian beliefs with evangelicals, he didn’t subscribe to biblical inerrancy or penal substitution. He believed in purgatory and baptismal regeneration. How did someone with such a checkered pedigree come to be a theological Elvis Presley, adored by evangelicals?

Somehow, Lewis’ “checkered pedigree” has become of little concern to the average evangelical admirer. Nevertheless, some have described his Christianity as a “myth” and John Robbins goes so far as to ask, Did C.S. Lewis Go to Heaven? In his essay, Robbins concludes, “So we ask again: Did C.S. Lewis go to Heaven? And our answer must be: Not if he believed what he wrote in his books and letters.”

Worldly Compromise And Ecumenism

In 1993, Christianity Today explained why C.S. Lewis is so popular among Evangelicals.  Among the reasons given for his popularity was the following…

“Lewis’sconcentration on the main doctrines of the church coincided with evangelicals’ concern to avoid ecclesiastical separatism” (Christianity Today, 10/25/93).

Christianity Today magazine admits that C.S. Lewis is popular to Evangelicals today because, like then, he despised Biblical separation.  Like it or not, the Word of God teaches that Christians are to separate from the unsaved (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17; and from other professed “Christians” who live in unrepentant sin (1st Corinthians 5:11).

From 1954 until his death in 1963, C.S. Lewis was professor of medieval and Renaissance English at Cambridge University.  Today, C.S. Lewis is known as a distinguished literary scholar and Christian apologist.  This is tragic and a further sign of the apostate condition of the church today.  Mere Christianity (a book upon which the beliefs of many professing Christians are based) is considered one of the most profound and logically irrefutable writings on Christian apologetics.  In reality, it is a work of garbage, filled with lies and distortions of the truth.  It is in this book (on page 139) that Lewis refers to man is the “highest animal” (1st Corinthians 15:39 calls Mr. Lewis a liar).  The concept of “mere Christianity” means agreeing on a small common denominator of Christian truth, while tolerating great areas of disagreement.  In essence, Lewis’ book is an attempt to corrupt the church.
Apostates And False Religions Praise C.S. Lewis

In a recent issue of Christianity Today, Millet, dean of Brigham Young University, is quoted as saying that C.S. Lewis “is so well received by Latter-day Saints [Mormons] because of his broad and inclusive vision of Christianity” (John W. Kennedy, “Southern Baptists Take Up the Mormon Challenge,” Christianity Today, 6/15/98, p. 30).  This fact alone ought to show you that Lewis was a heretic.  I mean, Mormonism is a false religion, a perverted sex-cult, and they honor Lewis.

As an indication of Lewis’s continued popularity, annual book sales remain over two million (half of which comes from The Chronicles Of Narnia series, an occult fantasy series written for children. In an article commemorating the 100th anniversary of Lewis’s birth, J.I. Packer called him “our patron saint.”  Christianity Today said Lewis “has come to be the Aquinas, the Augustine, and the Aesop of contemporary Evangelicalism” (“Still Surprised by Lewis,” Christianity Today, 9/7/98).  Wheaton College sponsored a lecture series on C.S. Lewis, and Eerdmans published The Pilgrim’s Guide to C.S. Lewis.  In April 1998, Mormon professor Robert Millet spoke at Wheaton College on the topic of C.S. Lewis.  This is all so tragic!

If it is true to say that ‘you are what you eat,’ then it is also true to say that ‘a Christian is what he hears and reads,’ since this is how he gets his spiritual food. Thus if Christians are brought up on a diet of C.S. Lewis, it should not surprise us to find they are seeking ‘to continue the legacy of C.S. Lewis.‘ The apostle Paul said, ‘A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump’ (Gal. 5:9). Thus, if evangelicals read and applaud such books as Mere Christianity, it should come as no surprise if we find them ‘working towards a common mission’ with the enemies of the gospel. The young Christian should be very careful what he reads, and those in positions of authority (pastors, teachers, parents) should be very careful what they recommend others to read (Dr. Tony Baxter, “The Enigma of C.S. Lewis,” CRN Journal, Winter 1998, Christian Research Network, Colchester, United Kingdom, p. 30).

C.S. Lewis is regarded by many as the greatest contemporary lay writer for the Christian faith.  With his witty English humor, sharp and simple logic, and seeming loyalty to the tenets of the Christian faith, C.S. Lewis has won the admiration of millions of fans in England and here in the United States.  Churches all across America have embraced the writings of C.S. Lewis, not realizing that the man was of the Devil.
Lewis Taught Theistic Evolution

Lewis believed that God created the universe; but then men evolved from animals…

“… for we have good reason to believe that animals existed long before men… For long centuries God perfected the animal form which was to become the vehicle of humanity and the image of Himself … [Eventually,] God caused a new kind of consciousness to descend upon this organism” (The Problem of Pain, pp.133,77).

“…Man, the highest of the animals” (Mere Christianity, p.139)

“…but he (man) remains still a primate and an animal” (Reflections On The Psalms, pp.115,129)

“If … you mean simply that man is physically descended from animals, I have no objection” (The Problem of Pain, p.72)

“He made an earth at first ‘without form and void’ and brought it by degrees to its perfection” (Miracles, p.125)

Nature’s “pregnancy has been long and painful and anxious, but it has reached its climax” (Mere Christianity, p.172)

C.S. Lewis held that the Biblical Genesis account came from pagan and mythical sources…

“I have therefore no difficulty accepting, say, the view of those scholars who tell us that the account of Creation in Genesis is derived from earlier Semitic stories which were Pagan and mythical.” (Reflections On The Psalms, p.110).

How much more evidence do you need, to see that C.S. Lewis was an unsaved heretic.  Lewis exploited the name of Jesus Christ, as do many Modernists today, to secure a profitable writing career.  You had better get your doctrine from the Word of God; and not from the latest New York Times Bestseller!  In John 5:39 Jesus said… SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!

Lewis Taught that Mankind is Inherently Good

As with most Modernists, Lewis saw mankind as inherently good…

“…when the consequence is drawn that, since we are totally depraved, our idea of good is worth simply nothing — may thus turn Christianity into a form of devil worship” (The Problem of Pain, pp.37-38).

The divine goodness differs…

“from ours not as white and black but as a perfect circle from a child’s first attempt to draw a wheel” (The Problem of Pain, p.39).

In other words, if we keep trying hard enough through human experience, we will attain divine perfection.  Lewis likens God’s goodness as a perfect circle, and man’s imperfection as a distorted circle drawn by a child who is not very coordinated yet.  Thus, as that child grows and develops, the circle eventually matches that of the divine circle.  Folks, this is works salvation and New Age doctrine at its core.  New Age teaches that man, through better education and rehabilitation, can “evolve” into a higher form of human culture.  New Age boldly rejects the Biblical teaching that man’s heart is desperately wicked and deceitful above all else (Jeremiah 17:9).

Total depravity was rejected by Lewis…

(“I disbelieve that doctrine”) because: (1) “If we were totally depraved we could not know ourselves to be depraved”; (2) “Experience shows that there is much goodness in human nature” (The Problem of Pain, p.66).

In sharp contrast to the teachings of C.S. Lewis, Romans 3:12 states: “They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Lewis Taught Baptismal Regeneration and Sacramental Salvation

Lewis believed that some people, devout members of false religions, were saved and didn’t even know it…

“There are people in other religions who are being led by God’s secret influence to concentrate on those parts of their religion which are in agreement with Christianity, and who thus belong to Christ without knowing it … For example a Buddhist of good will may be led to concentrate more and more on the Buddhist teaching about mercy and to leave in the background (though he might still say he believed) the Buddhist teaching on certain points. Many of the good Pagans long before Christ’s birth may have been in this position” (Mere Christianity, pp. 176-177).

Lies!  C.S. Lewis was a Modernist (i.e., one who falsely professes to be a Christian).  The world is filled with such imposters today who deceitfully speak of a god, spirituality and truth; but they exploit Christianity for their own benefit (2nd Peter 2:1-3).  The name of the game is deception.  The goal is to appear as “Christian,” while at the same time teaching damnable heresies and promoting cooperation between Christians (i.e., the saved) and the unsaved.  Satan loves Modernists, and is making them very wealthy, because they are leading hundreds-of-millions of people into Hellfire.

Lewis also taught that water baptism and the sacraments were a means to obtaining salvation…

“There are three things that spread the Christ-life to us: baptism, belief, and that mysterious action which different Christians call by different names — Holy Communion, the Mass, the Lord’s Supper” (Mere Christianity, pp.62,63).

“…this new life is spread not only by purely mental acts like belief, but by bodily acts like baptism and Holy Communion.” (Mere Christianity, pp.62,63).

In the other world “there will be every occasion for being the sort of people that we can become only as the result of doing such acts here” (Mere Christianity, p.63).

You can read a free online copy of Mere Christianity here

Clearly, Lewis was an unsaved Modernist, who catered to all the different religions.  As with those trying to destroy the New Testament Church today, Lewis promoted ecumenism (i.e., the unbiblical uniting of believers with unbelievers).

Lewis wrongly taught that God would pardon man’s selfish pride which keeps him ignorance and rebellion…

God “often makes prizes of humans who have given their lives for causes He thinks bad on the monstrously sophistical ground that the humans thought them good and were following the best they knew” (The Screwtape Letters, p.26).

But God says in Proverb 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”  2nd Thessalonians 1:8 plainly warns, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  There will be NO exceptions!  As we learned earlier, Lewis thinks that some people are saved and don’t even know it.  That is unscriptural.  Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”  A Buddhist doesn’t follow Christ; but rather, Buddha.  A Catholic doesn’t follow Christ; but rather, the Catholic Church.  The Bible teaches that a genuine Christian will hear the Word of God (i.e., Jesus’ Voice — Hebrews 1:1,2) and will follow Jesus Christ.  Don’t be deceived by lying imposters, like C.S. Lewis, who teach that Christ can be found in all religions.  No Sir!  Jesus Christ cannot be found in ANY religion; but rather, ONLY in the Word of God (1st Peter 1:23).
Lewis Became a Catholic Before his Death

Lewis indicates that shortly before his death he was turning toward the Catholic Church.  Lewis termed himself “very Catholic” — his prayers for the dead, belief in purgatory, and rejection of the literal resurrection of the body are serious deviations from Biblical Christianity (C.S. Lewis: A Biography, p. 234).  Lewis even went to a priest for regular confession (p. 198), and received the sacrament of extreme unction on 7/16/63 (p. 301).  His contention that some pagans may “belong to Christ without knowing it” is a destructive heresy (Mere Christianity, pp. 176-177), as was his statement that “Christ fulfils both Paganism and Judaism…” (Reflections on the Psalms, p. 129).
Lewis Taught Works Salvation

C.S. Lewis plainly stated that he believed a person has to work to keep salvation…

“There are people (a great many of them) who are slowly ceasing to be Christians…” (Mere Christianity, p.162).

“…a Christian can lose the Christ-life which has been put into him, and he has to make efforts to keep it” (Mere Christianity, p.49).

Lewis believed that morality and obeying God’s Law were a means to eventually being born-again…

“… ye must be born again. Till then, we have duty, morality, the Law. A schoolmaster, as St. Paul says… But the schooldays, please God, are numbered” (Letters to Malcolm, p.115). [emphasis added]

“The point is not that God will refuse you admission to His eternal world if you have not certain qualities of character: the point is that if people have not got at least the beginnings of those qualities inside them, then no possible external conditions could make a ‘Heaven’ for them …” (Mere Christianity, p.63).

In context, to be “born again,” for Lewis, is somewhere down the road yet (Mere Christianity, pp.59,60).  Lewis taught that a life of self-righteousness was necessary to eventually become born-again.  In sharp contrast, Jesus taught that being born-again was a second birth which BEGINS the believer’s life in Christ.  Lewis was a very confused and doctrinally flawed man.  As a consequence, Lewis is burning in Hell today and no doubt has led many people there too.

Lewis Denied a Literal Heaven

“All the scriptural imagery (harps, crowns, gold, etc.) is, of course, a merely symbolical attempt to express the inexpressible. Musical instruments are mentioned because for many people (not all) music is the thing known in the present life which most strongly suggests ecstasy and infinity. Crowns are mentioned to suggest the fact that those who are united with God in eternity share His splendor and power and joy. Gold is mentioned to suggest the timelessness of heaven (gold does not rust) and the preciousness of it” (Mere Christianity, p.106).
Lewis Denied a Literal Hell

Lewis never believed in a literal Hell, but instead believed hell is a state of mind one chooses to possess and become — he wrote:

“…every shutting-up of the creature within the dungeon of its own mind is, in the end, Hell” (The Great Divorce, p. 65)
Lewis Claimed the Bible Contained Myths

Lewis believed the Book of Job is “unhistorical” (Reflections on the Psalms, pp. 110), and that the Bible contained “error” (pp. 110, 112) and is not divinely inspired (The Inklings, p. 175).

“I have the deepest respect for Pagan myths, still more for myths in the Holy Scriptures” (The Problem of Pain, p.71)

Conclusion

C.S. Lewis was an imposter, who corrupted the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and led multitudes of victims into Hellfire with his doctrines of devils.  Lewis used profanities, told lewd stories, and frequently got drunk with his students (5/19/90, World magazine).  Christians need to read more critically The Abolition of Man, The Problem of Pain, Miracles, The Great Divorce, and God in the Dock.

By the time of his death, Lewis had moved from Idealism (no idea of a personal God) to Pantheism (an impersonal God in everything) and then to Theism (the existence of God).  Unfortunately, in Letters to Malcolm (p. 107), Lewis indicates that shortly before his death he was turning toward the Catholic Church.  The Catholic Church is NO church at all; but rather, is a prisonhouse of false religion.

J.D. Douglas, writing in Christianity Today, for December 20, 1963 (p. 27) reports the reservations of Dr. Martin Lloyd Jones of historic Westminster Chapel of London:

Dr. Lloyd Jones told Christianity Today that because C.S. Lewis was essentially a philosopher, his view of salvation was defective… Lewis was an opponent of the substitutionary and penal theory of the Atonement.

Dr. W. Wesley Shrader of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, wrote a letter to the editor in Christianity Today for February 28, 1964 (pp.34-35) in which he stated:

C.S. Lewis… would never embrace the (literal-infallible) view of the Bible. He would accept no theory of the “total depravity of man.” He rejected the “substitutionary theory” of the Atonement'” (F.B.F. News Bulletin, Fundamental Baptist Fellowship, March 4, 1984).

Every believer needs to shun the writings of C. S. Lewis and warn their friends and family about this wolf in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15).  It is sickening to hear so many professed Christians today praise and honor such a heretical man, who denied the literacy of the Scriptures and taught a bunch of wishy-washy nonsense.  The writings of C.S. Lewis are nothing but a bunch of ramblings devoid of any meaningful Biblical substance.  It’s a sure cure for insomnia.

The writings of C.S. Lewis are of the Devil.

“New Mormonism” Same OLD HERESIES

As I and others have carefully documented, virtually all of the cults and religions of the world embrace various misconceptions of Jesus.[1] Regardless of all of the differing viewpoints, biblical Christianity alone understands and accepts Him as Creator, Savior, and above all, God. Of the many variations of Jesus ascribed to by those in the religious world, none is more misleading and deceptive than the Jesus of Mormonism.

From its inception, Mormonism claimed to be not just another Christian group but, like its distant cousin, Islam,[2] was actually formed to be the restoration and sole representative of true religion. The early Mormons didn’t seek alignment with Christian groups but rejected them all as apostate. Calling a Mormon a “Christian” during Joseph Smith’s time might have resulted in a street fight instead of a Bible study. Still, because the words “Jesus Christ” appear in the very name of the Church, over time many have wrongly assumed that both Mormons and Christians were referring to the same deity and thus must have much theology in common. It has been only in modern times that Mormon leaders have elected to exploit and use this misconception to their advantage. This is illustrated by the well- orchestrated, ongoing, public relations campaign presented by the LDS Church. Unlike Smith and his followers nearly 200 years ago, the new face of Mormonism now lauds the use of the term “Christian.” Contemporary Mormonism’s insistence that they are but a more enlightened yet mainstream Christian group, seeking acceptance into ministerial associations and the like, has obviously made way among theologically liberal and less-discerning groups and individuals.

Leading the public reframing of Mormonism has been Robert Millet. Millett, emeritus Dean of Religious Education at Brigham Young University, has for several years been the LDS Manager of Outreach and Interfaith Relations for Church Public Affairs. The very reason that this LDS office exists appears to be to present Mormonism to the Christian world as Christian. Having made alliances within Evangelical circles, stemming in part from numerous public dialogs with Utah Baptist Pastor, Greg Johnson, of the group “Standing Together,” Millet’s work has paid dividends for his Mormon bosses in their desire to present Mormonism as but a misunderstood Christian group. Considering that we live at a time when ecumenism’s seduction has infiltrated numerous once-sound churches and denominations, the progress Millet has made could have been expected. In a politically correct world, where inclusion and tolerance have become the litmus test of acceptability, the cry of “get along at any cost” is quickly replacing dedication to truth. When it comes to Mormonism’s progress into the mainstream, perhaps no greater inroad has been realized than what was evident during the March, 2011, meeting of the executive board of the National Association of Evangelicals held in Salt Lake City. There, a panel discussion chaired by none other than Greg Johnson (now an NAE board member) and loaded with neo-Evangelical leaders predisposed in favor of Mormonism, sought dialog with LDS leaders.[3] Regardless of the praise, promotion, and repeated use of the word “Christian” when referring to the Latter-day Saints, no misguided Evangelical accolade changes the real crux of Mormonism. Gordon B. Hinckley, then President of the Church, confirmed as much in an address to the LDS 171st Semiannual General Conference in October 2001. Hinckley stated, “Those who observe us say that we are moving into the mainstream of religion. We are not changing. The world’s perception of us is changing. We teach the same doctrine.”[4]

What Foundation?

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. – II Corinthians 11:3-4

From its beginnings, Mormonism has embraced a “Jesus” with attributes not found in the Bible. It is helpful to remember that Mormonism accepts three other books as inspired and embraces the Bible “only as far as it is correctly translated.” In other words, instead of accepting the Bible as the standard by which to judge truth, Mormon documents – The Book of MormonDoctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price – which are some 1800 years newer than the Bible and which have little contextual harmony with it, are the accepted texts with which to scrutinize the Bible. In fact, this is why Mormonism, from its very foundation, has been guided by a completely different set of theologies than that of the Bible.  Regardless of this, Mormonism often quotes the Bible, giving the appearance that it is esteemed when in reality they are doing little more than paying lip service to God’s Word as a sort of spiritual window dressing, cloaking a completely different works-based religion just beneath its surface. The bottom line here is that, when the Bible disagrees with Mormonism, Mormons follow their three books and assume that the Bible is in error.

What God?

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. – Galatians 1:6-9

The so-called “First Vision” is the foundational event upon which Mormonism was founded. It is described as a theophany, where a being, purported to be God the Father, and a second being, said to be Jesus Christ, both appear in bodily form to a then fourteen-year-old Joseph Smith, Jr. This event supposedly happened without any witnesses in a wooded area in Manchester Township (Palmyra), New York, in the spring of 1820.[5] (This is known as the “Sacred Grove” or “Grove Experience” by Mormons.)

If indeed Joseph Smith actually had this experience or not, it surely fails the biblical test, as the authentic Jesus clearly instructs that “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) The “grove experience” also places Smith in a very select group since he claims something that only the biblical Jesus has done: actually lay his eyes on God Almighty. The Bible’s Jesus teaches that “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18) and “Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father” (John 6:46).

This unorthodox, unbiblical idea of a God with a body correlated perfectly with what quickly became the central theological underpinning of Mormonism, which is polytheism. Capsulated in what is known as “The Law of Eternal Progression,” Smith’s First Vision introduces mankind to the concept that God the Father is a completely unique and separate being from Jesus Christ and, as Smith would later preach in his most famous sermon (the King Follett funeral sermon[6]), was once a man like us and is actually an exalted man.

During the latter half of the 19th century, noted Mormon polygamist and fifth LDS Church president, Lorenzo Snow, was best known for making famous Smith’s quote, “As man is God once was, as God is man may be.”[7]

A few decades later (1938), as head of the LDS “Church Historian’s Office,” Joseph Fielding Smith released a compilation of Joseph Smith’s original teachings titled Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Fielding Smith, the son of Joseph F. Smith, the sixth president of the Mormon Church, was the great-nephew of the original Joseph Smith. Joseph Fielding Smith went on to become the tenth president of the Church in 1970 and held that office until his death in 1972.

In Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Joseph Fielding Smith reiterated Joseph Smith’s original doctrine, “God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man …” (p. 345), and instructed that “… You have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you …” (p. 348). This book is still readily available today through the Deseret Book Company, the official publishing arm of the Mormon Church.

In case you think for a moment that the modern Mormon Church has now somehow abandoned this teaching, please take the opportunity to watch how immediately and emphatically the aforementioned LDS Manager of Outreach and Interfaith Relations for Church Public Affairs, Robert Millet, affirms these tenets, the central theme of Mormonism. This revealing video clip can be found at:http://www.ericbarger.com/millet.god.once.a.man.wmv. Remember, Millet is the man who has been in charge of the LDS outreach attempting to convince Christians that Mormons are Christians, too – a charge that Joseph Smith would have vehemently rejected.

Along those lines, it is also worth noting that, during the “First Vision” in the grove, God Almighty and Jesus allegedly told Smith that all churches and their professors were “corrupt,”[8] and “all their creeds were an abomination in his sight.”[9] Smith claimed later that he was told by the two beings not to join any of the churches in his day but that the “fullness (sic) of the gospel” would be known to him at a later time.

Smith held to this idea throughout the formulation of Mormonism, publishing these same beliefs in April, 1842, just over two years before his death.[10]

Smith also substantiated this thought by incorporating it into The Book of Mormon, most notably in I Nephi 14:

And it came to pass that he said unto me: Look, and behold that great and abominable church, which is the mother of abominations, whose founder is the devil.

And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth. (The Book of Mormon, I Nephi 14:9-10)

This same teaching also appeared in the Mormon Temple Ceremony before it was radically altered in 1990. Mormons were routinely told that all other creeds were an abomination, that all the churches were wrong, that the congregations were deceived, and that the ministers were “hirelings of Satan.”

So we’ve established that, besides having an unsubstantiated vision, Joseph Smith conveniently claimed that God has been a mere mortal and that we humans can become Gods ourselves. He then claimed exclusivity by reporting that God told him that every individual Christian, pastor, and church in his day were deceived and deluded. And that’s just for starters. Perhaps the most important difference, and the one that will make the most impact on the unaware, is the distinction between Mormonism’s Jesus and the real Jesus of the Bible.

Who is The Mormon Jesus?

It is easy to understand the confusion people have experienced in discerning thereal Jesus from the counterfeits. After all, isn’t Jesus, well, JESUS? Some would simply discount the whole question, chalking it up to misunderstood semantics. But it is certainly far more than that. Considering the biblical admonitions to do so, we must carefully examine any presentation concerning Jesus to see if it aligns with the teaching found in the pages of the Bible. With this in mind, let’s look at what Mormon authorities teach about Jesus:

“The appointment of Jesus to be the Savior of the world was contested by one of the other sons of God.

He was called Lucifer, son of the morning. Haughty, ambitious, and covetous of power and glory, this spirit-brother of Jesus desperately tried to become the Savior of mankind” (Milton R. Hunter, The Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).

Milton R. Hunter, Ph.D., understood Mormon doctrine. He served as a member of the LDS Church’s First Council of the Seventy from 1945 until his death in 1975. He attended Brigham Young High School and received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University. Hunter wrote 23 books and spent 17 years as a seminary teacher at the Institute of Religion in Utah. He later taught LDS seminary courses while living in Provo, Utah. LDS historians have been critical of Hunter’s work due to his avoidance of material detrimental to the reputation of the LDS church. No one can say that Hunter’s account of the Mormon Jesus cited here from The Gospel Through the Ages is slanted or anti-LDS. This quote just represents the simple fact that the Mormon version of Jesus certainly does not match the identity of the Jesus found in the pages of the New Testament.

The most emphatic statement concerning the identity of the Mormon Jesus doesn’t come from an Evangelical source but rather from Mormon president, Gordon B. Hinckley. Speaking to a gathering of 6,600 Mormon missionaries in Paris, the LDS Church News Archives reported on Saturday, June 20, 1998, that Hinckley does not believe in the traditional, biblical Jesus.

“In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-Day Saints ‘do not believe in the traditional Christ.’ (He said) ‘No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fulness (sic) of Times…In this dispensation, the Lord has declared that this Church is the only true and living Church upon the face of the whole earth.’”[11]

Can it be any clearer than that? Just a few years ago, the “prophet, seer, and revelator” for all of Mormonism stated that the traditional Christ is not the Mormon Christ. In stating so, he also reiterated that the Mormon Church alone is the only true Church today. About the Mormon Jesus, let the record show that Hinckley and I agree! Regardless of how smoothly it’s phrased by Mormons and their allies, the Jesus of Mormonism remains but one of many gods within the pantheon of Mormonism, and Mormonism remains staunchly outside of orthodox Christianity. Mormonism’s Jesus is not now, never has been, and never could be the Jesus Christ of the Bible.

From what I have observed, I believe that the reason that the LDS Church has been and is continuing to present itself as “Christian” is this: membership. It’s all about wooing the unsuspecting. Unknowledgeable folks from both the secular culture and a variety of churches are targets of the newly “Christianized” Mormonism. Don’t miss this. Presenting itself as Christian isn’t about the Mormon Church reforming and becoming biblically sound. It is all about numbers, power, and revenue, and it’s all predicated on spiritual deception.

Each day, twosomes of clean-cut Mormon kids traverse our neighborhoods, knocking on doors to promulgate a false religion that claims to be Christianity. Considering this fact, shouldn’t we Bible-believers understand the redefinition of terms and the doublespeak we’ll face at the doorstep? Isn’t it our responsibility to look past their misguided sincerity and knowledgeably discern the bogus nature of the Jesus they present and then initiate effective dialog with them? Shouldn’t we also warn our friends and families, as well as those who live around us, that not just any Jesus will do?

Any Jesus?

When it’s all said and done, is just believing in “a” Jesus enough? No. A person can sincerely and completely believe in “a” Jesus, but, if one has placed his or her trust in a counterfeit Jesus, can that Jesus forgive and save you? The answer again is emphatically NO. If sincerity were all that mattered, most Mormons would score high marks. But sincerity doesn’t save anyone. The only thing that can save a person from a horrible, godless eternity is placing one’s faith and trust firmly in the Jesus of the New Testament, who 2000 years ago shed His blood on the Cross for our sins.

If you have trusted in a false Jesus, the only course is to reject the counterfeit and simply embrace the authentic. It is my prayer that you’ll do that and do it today.

False Prophet Pat Robertson EXPOSED & EXCORIATED

Living In The State Of Denial

by Mike Oppenheimer

What is the state you live in? As the saying goes “Everyone has got to live somewhere.” Excuse the raw
grammar but I’m not referring to the place you physically live but instead a state of mind. Unfortunately
those who live in this state are secluded from reality.

The lack of leadership is becoming increasingly obvious both in the world and in the church. The UN tries
to control the nations from running amok and have as much trouble governing their own than those they
want to supposedly help. But the lack of leadership is more concerning inside the church, since it affects
those who are to be used of God to reach the world. Christ is to be the head of the church and shepherds
are to equipping the saints in His word but are they listening to Him? The people are following the
methods and techniques of the few mega musicians that play the tune everyone wants to hear. But we
can’t just put blame on a few individuals who exercise their influence behind the Pulpit. An itching ear
syndrome has spread (2 Tim.4:3-4) to nearly all

Many church leaders have a disease of what Walter Martin called nonrockaboatis. Better put, they are
timid and feminized men that can say nothing of what is taking place. It is to their shame. With this kind of
leadership – what will become of the church?

Then there are the loyal pupils who listen to them and believe every word. Many have become lobbyists
for the large segment of false teachers inside the church. They tell people not to say anything about
them- their solution is say nothing and God will take care of it. Is this what the word says about those who
make merchandise of the saints, or distort the word and discredit the Scripture publicly? No of course not
(1 Cor 5:12-13; Ephesians 5:11; Tim.1:3; 2 Tim. 4:2-3). But since they are not taught the whole counsel of
God they have no discernment and cannot tell the good from evil (Heb.5:13) truth from error. Can we say
Paul was sinning when he named people to avoid and doctrines that are not of God? People would
probably call Paul a Pharisee and a heretic today for doing what is inspired by the holy spirit and recorded
in the Bible.

If what they say is true; what would it be like to follow their example? If God takes care of things like these
without any human cooperation or use, then we do not have to evangelize anymore. We do not need to
seek him and pray, since he will take of it all. This is liberalism at work, and fatalistic thinking. This is not
what those who are mature in the word and love people do. But this is the state much of the church is in-
the state of denial.

Because of the lack of expository preaching and theological understanding we find the younger crowd
seeking their spiritual guidance elsewhere. According to Barna Research: Three out of every four
teenagers have engaged in at least one type of psychic or witchcraft-related activity. Among the most
common of those endeavors are using a Ouija board, reading books about witchcraft or Wicca, playing
games involving sorcery or witchcraft, having a “professional” do a palm reading or having their fortune
told. Conversely, during the past year fewer than three out of every 10 churched teenagers had received
any teaching from their church about elements of the supernatural.” (Sent to Let Us Reason by Barry
Bowen in email)

We can understand that the world without Christ will pursue these spiritual paths but why are they
pursuing this outside the church? Is it because we are not allowing them to use the spiritual gifts or even
believe in them so that they do not experience the power of God? No, it is because they are not grounded
in God’s word and do not know what the word says about the occult and these spiritual matters. They are
uneducated from a secular point of view and especially from the Bible, God’s point of view. The Church
Lighthouse trails research reported American Family Association’s Resource Center now includes
categories in their Spiritual Growth section titled: “Mysticism,” “Contemplative Life,” and “Spiritual
Formation.” The emerging church influence seems to be permeating everywhere.

American Family Association (AFA) has been selling books on their site that promote panentheism,
altered states of consciousness (i.e., the silence), Eastern mysticism- in other words New Age. This was
pointed out to the AFA staff, and the president. Instead of removing the books, as LTR (Lighthouse trails
research) has pointed out, they made categories for these titles.

What does this say about the temperature of the church and the times we live in? It is detrimental to ones
spiritual growth to read these books on your own and even practice the new age techniques, but it
becomes a whole other matter when it is promoted and SOLD to the church. What a stumbling block. This
needs to be corrected.

Look at what recently happened with Ted Haggard. Haggard was not just a pastor, but was knighted an
apostle by the apostolic roundtable of Peter Wagner NAR. Like Saddam’s empire that challenges God, so
do these men, but they do it in the name of our Lord. It was Haggard who said at the gathering of the new
prophets and apostles meeting called the National School of the prophets on May 13, 2000: “I thank you
for those who have the office of either a prophet or a prophetess or have a strong flow in the prophetic.
And Lord Jesus, we as a group of pastors, many in this room apostolic pastors, we release, we bless, we
confirm the calling of the prophet – the calling of the prophetess – the calling of the prophetic, and we
welcome it into the global church of the world.”

Wagner just so happens to run his spiritual warfare center on Ted Haggard’s church grounds. This is
supposed to be an info center on spiritual warfare to help those pray out the demons situated over areas
in the world to change the dominion of Satan to the dominion of Christ. Once again we have prophets
who can’t discern something ill in front of their own noses. Or maybe they knew more than we give them
credit for? Either way its not the first and it certainly will not be the last.

Just like prophet Rick Joyner and others who did not know one of the so-called “the greatest prophets of
our century.” Paul Cain was doing, these cannot even see with plain eyesight much less spiritual eyes.
They are so busy promoting their agenda of Latter Rain triumphalism that they don’t know what is
happening amongst themselves that affects the whole church; because the world is watching.

Paul Cain is one of many William Branham disciples. Branham believed himself to be Elijah on earth.
“See, immediately after the coming of THIS Elijah, the earth will be cleansed by hate and the wicked
burned to ashes” (THE MESSAGE TO THE LAODICEAN AGE, p.13).Known as a healer he would wait
for an angel to come and give him his powers. Sooo many were impressed by his supernatural abilities,
they felt it was God’s Holy Spirit. Branham claimed that the angels (messengers) to the 7 churches in the
book of Revelation were men who appeared at various times throughout Church history and that he was
also the “Messenger of the Covenant” the 7th angel in revelation, the angel of the church of Laodicea .”
Well if the shoe fits, then he wore it well.

He is well known in today’s charismatic circles, and was associated with John Wimber and the Vineyard
movement and the prophet/ Apostle movement today. Cain said that at age 19 received a visitation from
the angel of the Lord who stood like a warrior had a bright shining sword and pointed to a billboard that
said Joel’s army in training. Paul Cain promoting the Latter Rain said- ”it won’t be this baloney that we’ve
heard of in the past; I mean, there’s been a few people tried to walk through a wall like this over here and
knocked their brain loose, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about a true manifested son of
God: if anyone walks through this wall over here, they’re not going to tell you about it- I mean, they’re just
going to do it. And sons of God don’t tell you they’re sons of God, they’ll just show You! Amen!”’ (Paul
Cain, The New Breed).I think we have seen and heard enough!
Cain received a false vision and revelation. This certainly was not the angel of the Lord who ceased
appearing after the incarnation of Jesus.

Paul Cain and Ted Haggard were part of Peter Wagners apostle network.

The National School of Prophets met in January 28 -30, 1999 (Colorado Springs, Colorado) the Speakers
were: C. Peter Wagner, Paul Cain, Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs, Bill Hamon, Dutch Sheets, Rick Joyner,
Kingsley Fletcher, Mike Bickle, Jim Laffoon, Barbara Wentroble and Ted Haggard. Jim Goll.

In May, 2000 they met again and the speakers were: C. Peter Wagner, Jack Deere, Chuck Pierce, Jim
Laffoon, Mary Crum, Cindy Jacobs, Kingsly Fletcher, Barbara Yoder, Dutch Sheets, Mike Bickle, Bill
Hamon, John Eckhardt, Ted Haggard.

Nearly all these so called apostles and prophets under Wagner are promoting some if not all of the Latter
Rain heresies of the 40’s and 50’s (and there are many of them). Peter Wagner has denied that he knew
anything about the Latter Rain teaching until recently, despite his associations. But the past reveals him
being less than honest on this. Consider franklinhall.org posted this (besides all the other proofs – like
Bill Hamon who is thoroughly latter rain is part of Wagners team of apostles and prophets)

Hall is mostly unknown among today’s Pentecostals, but he was responsible for introducing many
teachings into the Pentecostal circles (to Branham and others) that launched the Latter Rain Movement
and the Manifested Sons of God heresy in the 40’s and 50’s.

“The ministry of Dr. C. Franklin Hall was lectured on in C. Peter Wagner’s and John Wimber’s Signs and
Wonders course at Fuller Theological Seminary. Such was the influence and effectiveness of Dr. C.
Franklin Hall!”

C. Peter Wagner: Now, like I say, 50 years ago this process of coming to where we are now began
after WW2 but it sputtered. And now we hear terms like ‘The Latter Rain Movement” we hear terms like
“The Restoration Movement” we hear terms like “The Shepherding Movement” That the “… people in
those movements, now, Latter Rain, Shepherding, Restoration, all of that they were the pioneers
everybody and pioneers are very important to get us to where we are now… I myself knew nothing about
those previous efforts I mean I couldn’t even spell “latter rain”. None of my professors in Fuller Seminary
or Princeton Seminary ever taught me about that, … but in 1993 then God drew me into the process and I
began hearing about these things even though I never experienced them now” (Conference called
“Global Harvest Ministries Presents: Apostolic Church Arising” Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral, Atlanta,
GA, June 14-16, 2001).

They were pioneers! These were abuses in the body of Christ. Wagner teamed up with Wimber to teach a
course with him, “early in 1982 we experimented with it.” (On The Crest Of The Wave, p.131-132, C.
Peter Wagner, 1983.)

Yet Wagner claims it was in 1993 when he began hearing about these things. Paul Cain and Bill Hamon
are both directly connected The Latter Rain. John Wimber whom C. Peter Wagner worked with had
accepted the Kansas city prophets into his church in 1989. Paul Cain was teaching Latter Rain and
basically popularized the signs and wonders movement into the Vineyard after Lonnie Frisbee set the
church with extreme Pentecostal practices. No matter how you look at it something is awry.

These so called prophets have networks TV shows and own the Christian media that the church has
been thoroughly saturated with their brand of Christianity. Few have questioned the veracity of their
claims or powers.

Pat Robertson once again warned 700 Club viewers of “vicious hurricanes” and a possible tsunami;
saying on May 8: “I go away at the end of each year to pray, and if I heard the Lord right about 2006, the
coasts of America will be lashed by storms.”
Pat Robertson: It has. And, you know, I go away at the end of each year to pray, and if I heard the Lord
right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms. I think we’re going to see some really
serious storms.

On May 17, Pat Robertson: Well, ladies and gentlemen, I have felt strongly that the coasts are going to
be lashed by vicious hurricanes this year. Also, there may well be something as bad as a tsunami up in
the Pacific Northwest.”

http://mediamatters.org/items/200605180016
http://www.cnn.com/2006/WEATHER/11/30/hurricanes/index.html

Ooops, 2006 was the only year we have not had a major hurricane. I guess this is just a mistake like
Benny Hinns mistakes who also said in 1989 “The Lord also tells me to tell you, In the mid-90’s–
about ’94 or ’95–no later than that, God will destroy the homosexual community of America” “The
Spirit of God tells me, An earthquake will hit the east coast of America and destroy much in the
90’s. Not one place will be safe from earthquakes in the 90’s. These who have not known
earthquakes will know it”

Few had anything to say about this nonsense- why? Because they have no backbone! And so here we
are today where this continues to be repeated.

Pat Robertson is recorded as saying in a 1984 televised sermon that, “God spoke through a word of
prophecy in May 1968, and said, ‘I have chosen you to usher in the coming of My Son”( Sermon on
Satellite Network Seminar, Word of Faith Outreach Center, Dallas, TX, Dec. 9-12, 1984, cited in “The
Freedom Writer,” 1986)

Robertson also announced then that the Christian Broadcasting Network will provide worldwide coverage
of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem . (Sermon on Satellite
Network Seminar, Word of Faith Outreach Center, Dallas, TX, Dec. 9-12, 1984, as cited in “The Freedom
Writer,” 1986)

I guess this is why the Lord said I come at an hour you do not know. Obviously Robertson thinks he and
others like TBN will be here for the second coming, which does negate a rapture of any sort since they
will broadcast it. Robertson has been promoting “kingdom now” theology by his own words and others on
his program yet he also states he is a pre-millennialist, not postmillennial. Call him confused.

This brings me to Y2K, remember that fiasco where so many post-millennialists (who are still in ministry)
told the church of the coming disaster and even sold us the goods to survive it. Certainly we were
concerned and I even bought some dried food for such a disaster like this taking place (it can used for
anything, a number of years ago in Hawaii we were hit with a hurricane and had not electric or water for a
week). But the year 2000 came and went – no banks failed, the stock market did not collapse, the electric
grid did not fail and the churches had no opportunity to be a light to shine in this dark spiritual period
when the lights were go out. Instead we had a spiritual darkness settle in, the apostasy accelerated
sinceY2K.

So what are we to do? The church has the means to take care of the ones that are misleading but we
lack the will. May God fill us with His Spirit to be bold enough to speak the truth even when we are
outnumbered by the liars.
The World
Now we are all faced with the issue of a religion- Islam. Too many leaders think dialogue is the key to
solving the issues when this has been tried and not produced results for years. Insanity is a state of mind.
One of the explanations of insanity is to continue doing the same thing that failed over and over thinking it will yield different results. As Jesus said if the blind lead the blind they will both fall in a ditch. You can
apply this on other areas as well.

How many are aware of the preparation for war by Islamic nations against Israel and the west? Listening
to the TV News one would think that there are no assaults or espionage going on to take America and
other countries down. There is far more activity than we are led to believe.

What if some horrible event took place in America most of the leaders would still want to take the route of
appeasement. What about the church?

This took place a while back but does bear repeating “Across America pastors and Christian leaders are
allowing representatives of the Islamic faith to freely speak in their pulpits. This happened at Willow Creek
Community Church, the largest church in America, where a Muslim man named Faisal Hammouda was
allowed to share the pulpit. During the interview with Pastor Bill Hybels, Hammouda claimed: ‘As a matter
of fact, we, all of us, believe in Jesus. I believe in Jesus. I believe in Mohammed and all the prophets.
So our mission here is to introduce people to God.’ He also stated, ‘We believe in Jesus more than
you do, in fact.’” (Editorial, Voice of the Martyrs (Emphasis added) Muslims in our Pulpits” by Dr. Tom
White, Executive Director, Voice of the Martyrs, in “Have We Shamed the Face of Jesus?,” Editorial by
Voice of the Martyrs, sent out with VOM’s monthly newsletter in December 2001,
http://christianunplugged.com/muslims_in_church.htm. (The editorial is also posted at
http://bereanpublishers.com/Cults/Muslims/have_we_shamed_the_face_of_jesus.htm.)

Is this the answer the church has to a major religion that is clearly antichrist? If this becomes our answer
we might as well get prayer rugs and bow to Mecca now. But these men of the seeker sensitive
persuasion do not speak or act for all. Certainly not the Christian who reads their Bible and knows the
days we are living in. Muslims do not have the same Jesus of the Bible, they do not have the same God
of Israel; this is evident from their own position of hatred toward Israel besides their own theology found in
the Qur’an. So what are we to do? Keep quiet, shake hands and go home hoping for improvement?
There should be a rebuttal, we should be holding public statements like these accountable. We should
have many more like Walid Shoebat who is going everywhere he can to speak out on what this is
REALLY about. Check this site- http://www.3xterrorists.com/
The Middle East
The media (not just the liberal side) gives half the information on nearly any given subject and we accept
this reporting as true and accurate. What we are not being told is what is needed. While there are political
terrorists, only Islam makes religious terrorists. They become one because of their religious beliefs that
are taught by the Imams and from the Qur’an. We hear they are a religion of peace but where are those
in this religion who want peace and will speak against terrorism perpetrated by Islamists on all continents.
Muslims who do not want to participate in the coming war have to speak up now or they will be swallowed
up with its momentum of conquest. Now is the time to speak before one can’t.

The axis for all this is found in Iraq (consider that Babylon will be a real place in the Tribulation period).
“Zawahri called on Iraq’s Sunni Muslim insurgents to fall behind the so-called Islamic State in Iraq,
announced in October by groups including Iraq’s wing of al Qaeda.

“I urge the whole Muslim nation to support this fledgling state as it is, God willing, the gateway for the
liberation of Palestine and the revival of the Islamic caliphate.

“I also urge all my mujahideen brothers in Iraq to join this blessed convoy to save the Iraq caliphate from
the shackles of the crusaders and their agents, the traitors who have sold their faith,” he said.

President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called repeatedly for the destruction of Israel –

His addressed the U.N in September and revealed his motives and goal that a messianic figure, called
the “Mahdi” to Muslims, is going to reveal himself after an apocalyptic holocaust on Earth that may leave most of the world’s population dead. I cannot say enough on this matter (that is why the last few
newsletters contain this info).

“I emphatically declare that today’s world, more than ever before, longs for just and righteous people with
love for all humanity; and above all longs for the perfect righteous human being and the real savior who
has been promised to all peoples and who will establish justice, peace and brotherhood on the planet,”
Ahmadinejad said. “Oh, Almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained
their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirsts for justice, the perfect human being
promised to all by you, and make us among his followers and among those who strive for his return and
his cause.”

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52993

According to Shiites, the 12th imam disappeared as a child in the year 941. When he returns, they
believe, he will reign on earth for seven years, before bringing about a final judgment and the end of the
world. Who does Israel need to make peace with? A 7 year peace treaty is what the Bible implies by a
false Messiah. Could the one who signs the peace treaty with Israel be a Muslim? Will the Muslims hail
him as the Messiah? I can’t say for sure but as things line up and fall into place it will become clearer.
One thing is evident, Islam plays a large role in the end times and much fits the biblical picture of the
tribulation period.

All Iran is buzzing about the Mahdi, the 12th imam and the role Iran and Ahmadinejad are playing in his
anticipated return. There’s a new messiah hotline. There are news agencies especially devoted to the
latest developments.

“People are anxious to know when and how will He rise; what they must do to receive this worldwide
salvation,” says Ali Lari, a cleric at the Bright Future Institute in Iran’s religious center of Qom. “The timing

is not clear, but the conditions are more specific,” he adds. “There is a saying: ‘When the students are
ready, the teacher will come.’“

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, referring to Israel at an international conference questioning
the Holocaust last week in Tehran , told delegates that “the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is
downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want.”

“Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime soon be
wiped out,” he said.

Which God promised this? The same one that does not have Israel mentioned in the Qur’an, the one who
hates God’s chosen people, therefore He is not the true God.

Recently the Iranian president said: Our scientists have reached zenith, accessed nuclear fuel cycle

Iran is now a “nuclear power,” its President, Mahmoud Ahamdinejad, delcared Wednesday, according to
the Islamic Republic News Agency.
The US
Meanwhile back in America , Nancy Pelosi became the first woman speaker of the house, it somewhat
reminds me of Deborah becoming the judge of Israel . America is about to be challenged on its beliefs
unlike any other time in our history.
During the opening of the 110th Congress, right after Nancy Pelosi’s smiling speech about Novus Order
Seclorum “Our founders envisioned a new America driven by optimism, opportunity, and strength. So
confident were they in the America they were advancing, they put on the seal, the great seal of the United
States, ‘novus ordo seclorum’ — a new order for the centuries.

She also stated “In this hour, we need and pray for the character, courage, and civility of a former
member of this House — President Ford. He healed the country when it needed healing.”

President Ford called Christ his savior, certainly this is not what she was referring to. So what did this
woman do, she swore in several people into office, one a Muslim into his office – who put his hand on the
Qur’an. Keith Ellison (Hakim-Mohammed) of Minnesota is the first Muslim congressman in U.S. history.
When he won the 2006 election and was making the regular thank-you-to-my-supporters speech, he
allowed his fans to shout, “Allahu Akbar!” This man was elected and has a right to serve but this certain
moves us into a future dilemma.

Is this the healing we look to in our land, America being open to Islam. I do not come to this conclusion by
this one incident, but there are many factors that are widening our acceptance as we watch the decline of
Judaic Christian values. Unless there is a genuine revival sent by God as he did over 30 years ago the
most aggressive religion or spirituality will eventually fill the vacuum.

Can those elected have the choice to be sworn in by a Koran, the book of Mormon, a Jewish Bible, or a
Christian Bible or any other religion they acknowledge! Is this the diversity we ware being led into by our
leaders, as one man pointed out-this sounds similar to the Masons? What is actually happening? What
will become of us as things change?
The World and Islam
Before the religious zealot Mahmoud Ahamdinejad rose to power in recent times, there were two clever
men that became dictators of both small and large portions of the Arab/Islamic population. They began
their diabolical scheming to destroy the enemy of their god. Saddam Hussein, the prior president of Iraq
and the PLO Leader, Yasser Arafat who wanted control of Jerusalem and remove the Jews from Israel .

Saddam Hussein became the ruler of Iraq in 1979. He put pictures and statues of himself along with
Nebuchadnezzar across the landscape. Ancient Babylonian temples were rebuilt by Hussein. Saddam
Hussein also began rebuilding the city of Babylon on its original foundations. He was obviously aware of
the (Biblical?) significance of Babylon being rebuilt. Saddam was literally building upon the original
foundations laid by Nebuchadnezzar. We have been isolated in the news from the fact that Babylon is
being rebuilt and is still being worked on. For now it is on hold, because there is a timing in all this.

Neither of these rulers of Iraq had a pleasant rein. Nebuchadnezzar in the end learned a lesson and
repented, Saddam would have done well to read the Bibles record of his mentor. ‘And at the end of the
time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed
the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: for His dominion is an everlasting
dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed
as nothing; he does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth.
No one can restrain His hand or say to Him, “What have You done?” At the same time my reason
returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors
and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me. Now I,
Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His
ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.” (Daniel 4:34-37)

Babylon through Nebuchadnezzar was the first empire to conquer Israel , they took them captive and
burned the City of Jerusalem . For seventy years the Jews waited to be returned to Jerusalem . A
thousand years later, a false prophet named Muhammad came in the name of Allah and the Al Aqsa
Mosque was built in Jerusalem , where the Temple of Israel once stood (660 A.D. by the Syrians.) It sits
there today as the main interference for Israel to find her religious identity again and begin to do what is required in the tribulation period. What will change all this? The Palestinians have control over the Temple
mount. What of the Muslim Mahdi (messiah)- could he make a peace treaty with Israel . Will the nations
go along with this peace agreement without protest, will the church? The answer is still Jesus Christ- but
will the world listen? No. Will the Church Listen? The answer for this deserves another newsletter.

Now is the time to wake –up and make up our minds before we can’t. The Lord, not man is in control of
the outcome and it will go down exactly as He has stated in His Word. Let me end with the same question
I began with- what state are we in?

May the Lord do beyond all our expectations this year as we come closer to His return.

Brief on Political Correctness

December 24, 2013 Leave a comment

Dr. Mike Johnston

By definition, political correctness means “conforming to a belief that language and practices- which could offend political sensibilities as in matters of sex or race- should be eliminated.” In Biblical terms, this appears to be something Scripture warned us would earmark the last days: “the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Peter 2:2).

Political correctness holds to the following unwritten yet demonstrable tenets:

1. Truth is what we say it is
2. Everyone has their own truth
3. All truth is equal except Bible truth
4. Bible truth is hate speech
