Gotcha Gimmick: “There isn’t a single verse in the Bible teaching a PreTrib rapture”

Dr. Mike Johnston

This accusation is inconsequential. To begin with, this gimmick is flimsy because it ignores the fact that many subjects in the Bible require progressive revelation of a series of verses in order to explain the meaning such as Israel, the Tribulation, the Antichrist, the Davidic Kingdom, the Trinity, Heaven, Hell and many more including the rapture.

Progressive revelation notwithstanding, the burden of proof isn’t on us to prove we are raptured prior to Israel’s Tribulation – although dozens of Bible verses cited in this book collectively prove that we are. The onus is on those who insist we are here without a single verse of Scripture anywhere verifying this speculation.
